Interview with Steve Radam (Operations Manager Swimming Pool Suhr – Buchs – Gränichen):

How was the start of the season for you?

We had a very good start to the season. On the one hand, we have been lucky enough to have the same, well-coordinated team for many years, which means that we can always start the season very well prepared and, on the other hand, n-tree has been with us for years and we therefore know the system and the process well. We have a good relationship with n-tree and I appreciate always knowing who you are talking to on the phone. Over the years, we have gotten to know the whole team well.

How was the support from n-tree during the season?

I am very satisfied with the collaboration. The support team is always available and very responsive. Quick and uncomplicated solutions are always sought. These are solutions that I can usually implement myself and are therefore more cost-effective. An example of this would be that when we wanted to set up the cash register ourselves, I was taught how to do this independently in the future.
It’s clear to me that the basic ideas have to come from me as the customer and that I also have to get to grips with the whole thing. What do I need, how do I want it, etc.? If I then have a good and suitable solution from n-tree that works for me, I don’t have to keep looking for new solutions, but can work with it in the long term.

How were the slot bookings / experiences during Corona?

The pandemic period was an extraordinary situation. We were one of the first swimming pools to open. We worked with Bruno beforehand to find solutions that would allow us to implement the requirements of the authorities easily and safely. This is when the slot bookings came into play. In the beginning, it was still very unusual for our customers, but the whole system with the slot bookings developed positively very quickly and paid off, allowing our swimming pool to be open until mid-December even during the Corona period. In addition, personnel planning was much easier with the slot booking and we were/are able to save costs. As soon as the winter air dome comes into use, we will also use the slot bookings there. With the slot story, you have to be well
think about what you want and have a good concept, then you can optimize the whole thing to the maximum.

How satisfied are you with the system (faults, etc.)?

This year we had difficulties with the Six payment terminal. The cause was not n-tree, but the Six payment server. It was difficult, but in the end we were able to find a solution. I am very satisfied with n-tree. So far there have been no problems. I can therefore recommend n-tree with a clear conscience and have already done so.

How has the workload of checkout staff changed with the webshop?

When we took over the slot bookings from n-tree during the Corona period, we had to install a web store for this. The customers who got to know the web store during this time appreciate it and continue to use it. At the moment, however, we are not yet promoting the web store as some future plans, such as the air dome, have to be implemented first. In the future, we will offer a fast lane for the summer and we would also like to include the reservation system in our system. The web store will come into play for our future projects and will also take the pressure off personnel planning.

What do you want from n-tree for the future?

I think it’s good that there are opportunities for further training at the n-tree Academy. I thought the Inovations Day three years ago was absolutely brilliant and I would like to see it repeated. I would definitely be there again.
